Where does the rainwater actually go? In modern sewage systems, it initially flows into so-called stormwater overflow basins (RÜB), which retain large volumes of water and limit the inflow to the wastewater treatment plant. During the Long Night, the largest basin in the Stuttgart metropolitan area opens its doors underground and offers visitors a glimpse inside.
