Bunker unter dem Marktplatz

Anyone strolling across Stuttgart’s market square would hardly suspect that a mysterious bunker hotel lies hidden deep beneath it. During World War II, around 3,000 people found shelter here, and later even celebrities stayed overnight in the quirky hotel. Since 1984, the site has been a museum. Only once a year, during the Long Night of Museums, do the meter-thick doors open, offering fascinating glimpses into the windowless rooms. A visit feels like a little journey back in time beneath the city.
